As the global hotel brand launches its second search for businesses with ideas on how to simplify the guest experience, here's how you can get involved.

Hilton has a 100-year history of pioneering the hospitality industry and is constantly looking for ways to innovate.

This is why the hotel chain is collaborating with London & Partners and The Trampery’s Traveltech Lab — the capital’s first incubator solely focused on travel, tourism and hospitality — to crowdsource cutting-edge technology from the world’s brightest new talent to enhance its guests’ experiences and surprise its customers. Last year, the competition’s initial prize was awarded to Dublin-based LikeWhere, which uses artificial intelligence to match the right customer with the right destination. Based on individuals’ interests and favourite cities, it recommends experiences in destinations they have yet to visit.

Shortlisted from 50 entries, LikeWhere was one of five businesses to pitch its ideas to help shape the future of hospitality at Hilton hotels around the world, and successfully won over an expert panel of industry leaders. The company will now work with Hilton to incorporate the LikeWhere technology into Hilton Explore, its travel inspiration website, for at least 20 destinations, while also looking for ways to further collaborate in the future. LikeWhere also won a £7,000 cash prize. With round two of the competition now open, the search is on for start-ups to work with Hilton to simplify the way guests book a hotel stay or experiences at their destination, making it as frictionless as possible. The winning pitch will have the chance to work with Hilton’s experts and integrate their ideas across more than 5,200 hotels in 105 countries and territories, as well as earn a cash prize.

Entries for the #TalkTravelTech competition are being accepted until 28 March, with shortlisted pitches being heard on 2 May.
